Resurfacing of roads in Bellville, Parow and Goodwood

27 July 2026

The City’s Urban Mobility Directorate will be resurfacing roads in the Bellville, Parow and Goodwood areas in coming weeks. All-in-all, the work will cover just over 13km in distance and should be completed by the end of November this year if all goes as planned.

‘The good news is that up to 42 roads in the Bellville, Parow, and Goodwood areas have been identified for this project. We will be resurfacing sections of these roads over the next four months. The work includes the maintenance of the stormwater infrastructure, and the repainting of road markings after the resurfacing has been completed.

‘We will try our best to limit the impact on road users and local residents, but unfortunately, this work will bring some inconvenience, as is to be expected of all road projects. Given that we want to get the project completed as soon as possible, the contractor may be working at night as well, and some roads will be closed to traffic for short periods. I want to thank residents and road users for their patience and support. This project confirms our commitment to investing in our road network so that we can keep Capetonians moving and benefit from these assets for years to come,’ said the City’s Mayoral Committee Member for Urban Mobility, Councillor Rob Quintas.

  • The resurfacing will cover over 13km of roads in these areas
  • Daytime work will happen from 07:00 to 17:00
